Protect Your Mantle

1. Unfortunately, most soaps on the market today have a pH of about 9. Try to get cleaners that are neutral to slightly acidic with a pH around 5 or 6.5. Try Neutrogena’s glycerin soap or Bronners soaps.

2. Moisturize skin after washing with a slightly acidic moisturizer.

3. Use pH balanced skin care products. You can even buy pH strips and test the pH of your current products.

4. Find a good daily moisturizer that contains natural oils that work with your skin like jojoba, safflower, coconut, argan and olive oil.

5. Eat well. The body’s internal pH shoulg be slightly alkaline, unlike skin. Maintaining the proper pH for your insides will directly affect the balance of your skin’s pH.
This may help explain why those oily chips and fries end up on our face. Avoid acid-forming foods like junk foods, alcohol, caffeine and sweets.
