2. Does a big price tag really make a big difference in quality? Even if all else were equal, the psychological effect linked to luxurious packaging, beautiful scent and a big price tag is immeasurable.
3. In shopping for powder of any kind, it needs to be extra fine and matte. Eye shadows should have a certain amount of cream so they blend well and stick to the skin. It shouldn't crumble. Check for its indurance by gently blowing on your arm. If an old favorite has hardened over time, scrape the top layer with a knife to resuscitate.
4. Lipstick should have staying power with built-in moisturizer, in order to prevent perpetual drying.
5. Everyday skincare products, though, are worth
paying extra money for. There are no bargains when it comes to wrinkles, but if you find one that
works for you, stay with it. Only when it stops working one day, go shop for another formula.
Try a sample before you buy, if you can. If you can't sample, buy a brand that you've had success with, to minimize allergic reaction.

the type, the brand, and the way the makeup is stored. As a general rule, store all cosmetics at room
temperature, make sure all containers are tightly closed to prevent exposure
to air, and keep the tools like brushes and sponges clean.
