ROUND Brush
It's good for building volume at the root, but small sized can easily tangle
hair and create undesirable curls at the ends. On the other hands, oval brush
can help finish the ends without creating as much volume. Check for its
stiffness to ensure the right amount of tension needed to pull hair perfectly
straight. METAL ROUND brush can set hair like a roller, but blowdrying at
high temperature can damage hair too. VENTED brush is good for combing
through wet or semidry hair.

FLAT Brush
This is good for finishing ends, but cannot create volume. A brush with both
natural and nylon bristles is the expert's choice for finishing ends and
smoothing flyaways. To make shinier hair, go back over sections with dryer and a
flat-boar-bristle brush.
COMBS
Comb with a metal tip handle gives full control over your parts and loose
ends. It is an inexpensive must.
