Is Asian skin typically drier or oilier? |
Asians in general are no more oily than non-Asians but acording to
dermatologists, Asian American women tend to have oilier skin than recent
Asian immigrants. Some dermatologists blame this on higher fat content in
our diet. It is common knowledge that diet does not directly affect skin
condition, except when it is poor enough to affect one's overall health.
Unexpected pimples may signal stress, hormonal imbalance, or internal
health problems.
And too much unhealthy food consumption can appear to affect acne breakouts by contributing to an overall physiological imbalance which in turn will cause an increase in the skin's oil production which can cause acne breakouts. |
