How to Widen Close-Set Eyes

If you’re lucky enough to have wide set eyes like a Kate Moss or Zhang Ziyi you can skip over this beauty tip. For the rest of us who may need a little assistance in that area, there are makeup tricks to create the illusion.
Widen close-set eyes with these simple tips:

1. Line the top of your lids with black eyeliner, winging out the line a few millimeters past the outer corner of your eyes, following the natural lash line.

2. Take a pointed eyeshadow brush and lightly brush dark brown or black eyeshadow on the outer half of your lower lid, directly on the lash line. Do not line closer than the outer half as it will enclose your eyes and make them appear smaller and closer set.

3. Highlight the outer half of your brow bone just below your eyebrows with a light, cream colored eyeshadow.

4. Take a very small brush (or the tip of your finger) and apply a cream eyeshadow or shimmery shadow to the inner corner of your eyes.

5. As you apply the rest of your eyeshadow make sure to avoid the inner part of your eyelid to help create an illusion of more space between both eyes. Additional Tip: To further add to this effect, use a beige eyeshadow a few shades lighter than your skin tone and brush it over the inner region of the eyelid.
